Together with Wellness & Work/Life Balance, EAP wants to help you be the healthiest you can be, especially as we head into flu season! To that end, we want to help you achieve success as you adhere to the new UB policy that prohibits smoking: inside buildings, outside buildings, in green spaces, off-site UB locations, in University owned vehicles. UB EAP has lots of resources to help you attack this challenge head on!
Did you know….?
- There is no “safe level” of second-hand smoke. It’s all carcinogenic.
- There is no such thing as a “constitutional right” to smoke. Smoking is not a protected right.
- You have one full year to achieve success, and we will help you.
- August 2010 the policy will be in full effect. August 2009 is a transitional, educational year!
- Over 160 colleges and universities have similar outdoor tobacco regulations.
