The UB EAP program wants to make sure you and your family stay well, and have the most current information available to help you maintain your health.
Recent media coverage about the swine flu can be alarming, stressful, and , in some cases trigger more serious mental health issues. Just as with general flu symptoms it is important that employees and families follow common sense protocols to minimize or avoid getting sick. The Center for Disease Control recommends:
- Clean your hands often
- Avoid touching eyes, nose, or mouth
- Stay home when you are sick
- Practice other good health habits
- Call your physician or health care provider when needed.
- Review UB’s emergency protocols at: http//: www.emergency.buffalo.edu
- Review other emergency health related information at: http//: www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/college-alert.htm
